CBSE Board Result 2020 Marking Criteria

Know how CBSE 10th & 12th Board Result will be prepared this year. The Board will consider the performance of students in previous examinations for preparing the CBSE Class 10 & 12 Board. Students who had completed all the Board examinations will be assessed based on their performance in the same.

Those students who had appeared for more than 3 subjects, the average of the top 3 subjects will be calculated and allotted for the subjects that were not conducted. Similarly, those students who appeared for only 3 subjects, the average score from the top 2 subjects will be calculated and allotted for the subjects that were not conducted.

Such an assessment was crucial as many students aspire to apply for admissions in higher education institutions in India and abroad. However, the Board has decided to conduct an optional examination for Class 12 students who wish to improve their overall percentage.

The datasheet of Class 12 Board optional examination will remain the same, i.e. between July 1-15, 2020. Students must note that assessment will be done based on the performance in optional examinations once they opt for the same. On the other hand, the Board will not conduct any further examinations for Class 10 students.

Due to a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has released the guidelines for ‘Unlock 2.0’. According to the guidelines, schools and colleges will remain closed till July 31.
