CBSE 10th Board Exam 2021: Time Table, Date and Schedule

CBSE 10th 2021 -The Central Board of Secondary Education has started preparing the question bank keeping in mind the upcoming board exam (CBSE Board Exam 2021). These will prove to be very helpful for teachers as well as students.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is one of the most prominent education boards of the country. Every year, CBSE conducts class 10th board examinations for all the schools’ affiliated to CBSE. The class 10th exams which are undertaken by CBSE are conducted in February/March. Though this session will see a delay in class 10th 2020 exam date due to the ongoing pandemic in the country. Tentatively, CBSE board exam date 2020 class 10 is likely to be in May 4th.

CBSE nic.in class 10 exam schedule will be released in January 2021. However, the exam will begin from 4th May 2021. Due to the pandemic conditions, the CBSE class 10th syllabus has been reduced by 30%. The syllabus was reduced to decrease the exam pressure as the academic session has been a turbulent one. The CBSE class 10 admit cards will be released 2 weeks before the CBSE 10th exam. Class 10 CBSE result will be announced in July on the official website.

10th board exam time table 2021 CBSE is yet to be released officially. But the students need to keep in mind some important dates (tentative) which are given below:

Changes Introduced in CBSE Class 10th Exam

• CBSE Class 10th 2021 Syllabus

There has been a reduction in the CBSE Class 10th 2021 Syllabus due to all the disturbance in the academic session due to the pandemic situation. With a major shift from physical schools, to online teaching methods, there have been many students who either faced a lot of problems adjusting to the change or some couldn’t avail themselves of this kind of teaching methodology. Keeping in mind all these situations, CBSE decided to reduce the syllabus by 30%.

• CBSE Board Exam Dates 2021 Class 10

CBSE conducts class 10th exam every year in February/March. But this year the CBSE class 10th exam will be delayed due to the pandemic conditions in the country. Usually, the CBSE 10th date sheet is released in December but this time the official release of CBSE 10th date sheet has been delayed and will be released in January 2021.

• CBSE Class 10th 2021 Exam Pattern

CBSE has a different exam pattern for different subjects, however, the marking scheme remains the same for all the subjects. The theory paper has a weightage of 80 marks whereas 20 marks are for the internal assessment. Students’ class performance, regular assessment performances, project work, class participation comprises the internal assessment marks. Students will also be assessed on their practical knowledge by the means of the practical exam. To qualify class 10th exams, it is mandatory to clear both theory and practical exams with 33%. 

Class 10 CBSE Result

Class 10 CBSE result is announced usually in May end or June. Based on the marks obtained in class 10, students are segregated into different streams for classes 11th and 12th. Students can take up their stream of interest provided they match the eligibility criteria to opt for the same. Due to delay in the conduction of CBSE Class 10th exam, the class 10th CBSE result will also be delayed and will likely be announced in July. Students also have the provision to check their CBSE class 10th 2021 results through SMS and IVRS services.
