Answer :

Having pets is not just a pastime, it is a big responsibility. The story narrated about the pets that the author Gavin Maxwell had. After his dog died, he bought another pet. When he visited Iraq, he thought of having an otter named Mijbil and got it from his friend. The behaviour of Mijbil from jumping in bed to bathtub surprised him. The narrator was surprised by his behavior. The narrator also faced problem while he was moving to England along with his pet.

Thus, keeping a pet is a big responsibility. One has to take care of the pets in a way he takes care of his own child. They need proper attention, timely food, and care. One has to be friendly with them while providing them with a comfortable atmosphere. Thus, animals too need the same treatment as human beings.

The period between engagement and marriage is quite different today than it is used to be in the old days. In ancient times, proposals are sent by the parents formally to that the other party reply. In the story, ‘the proposal’ Lomov wants to marry Natalya but instead to telling her directly he asked his father. He dressed well to meet his father and presented himself in the best possible manner. He did his best so that Natalya’s father may not refuse his proposal. Also, when he met Natalya he doesn’t put his proposal forward.

Thus, a healthy relationship requires lots of commitment, trust, and confidence in each other. It needs proper fueling to keep it going. The understanding between the partners is a must. Thus, it needs efforts from both the partner to make it the best relationship on Earth.
