Answer :
The new plants are produced by asexual reproduction following pollination and fertilization. But, in some plants, it shows sexual reproduction called apomixis, the formation of seeds without fertilization. In the botany, pollination is the initial step in the formation of plant, followed by cell divisions and fertilization. In apomixis, the meiotic division and fertilization is the absence to form a zygote from gamete. It happens in three ways, apomixis from the diploid sporophyte (sporophytic) and apomixis from the haploid gametophyte (gametophytic) and formation of the fruit from the pollen grain without fertilization (parthenocarpy) all the seeds and fruits which are formed are genetically similar in phenotype. The parthenocarpy found in banana, where the fruit is seedless and it can be also induced by growth hormones or regulators.
