(b) The five permanent members of the Security Council are United States of America, United Kingdom, Russia, France, and China. The other ten member countries change every two years.


(c) The Economic and Social Council was set up to handle the economic and social functions of the United Nations separately. It discusses and creates awareness about issues like poverty, human rights, social inequalities etc.
