He told him the importance of publishing books on sex, as books of this nature were often best sellers. Dr. Pal advised Margayya to publish a book and sell it in Tamil speaking areas. He also told him that in Hindi, the book could be more beneficial as would reach all over India, and soon Margayya agreed to publish the book. He made a deal to publish and sell the book and distribute of profit from this sale. Margayya gave Rs 25/- to Dr. Pal as the price of the book. This book of sociology on improving the sex life of married couples sold extremely well, and thus his prayers to the goddess proved fruitful. He was able to earn a lot through this business idea.
(ii) Margayya’s wife Meenakshi, was a devoted wife and mother and a loving, faithful and submissive wife. She took care of her husband and son’s needs and comfort and worked like a beast. She never complained or questioned the orders of her husband. She always maintained silence even when wrongfully blamed by Margayya for everything and never contradicted him as she did not want to add burden to his professional worries. She never advised MArgayya about their son, and never questioned the way in which he was being raised. She unfortunately never got the respect of Margayya. She noticed the wayward manners of Balu but kept silent to avoid a scene. Hence Meenakshi was a docile and domestic woman, who despite being hard-working did not voice her opinion out loud in order to maintain the peace of her household.
