“An ideal government would not only keep itself away from corruption but also make fighting corruption and black money a top priority”. Justify the statement by highlighting the values attached to it. (CBSE 2013)
Ideal government should fight corruption and black money:
1. Candidates should not be chosen on the basis of money they can put in elections.
2. Rich people and companies who contribute funds to a party should not influence the party’s decisions in their favour.
3. Parties should not resort to any unfair means to win elections like making the criminal the candidate.
Note: Democrats around the world acknowledge that money and muscle power are influencing parties. Corruption and black money should be fought against by the government and not used to win elections.
