An element crystallizes in a f.c.c. lattice with cell edge of 250 pm. Calculate the density if 300 g of this element contain atoms.
a = 250 pm = 250 x 10-12 m
z = 4
m = 300g
We know that,
Where M = Molar mass and NA = 6.022 x 1023
Therefore, the density is 38.4 g/cm3
