An aeroplane takes off at an angle of 30° to the horizontal. If the component of its velocity along the horizontal is 250 kmhr–1, what is the actual velocity? Find its vertical component.

Let,

Initial speed of the aeroplane = u


Angle that initial velocity u makes with the horizontal = θ


Given θ = 30o


Velocity along the horizontal = ux
