"Access to books created a new culture of reading. It was said so because:

• Earlier the Books were very expensive as they were handwritten so it was difficult to afford those books with the invention of the printing press it became cheap.

• Earlier, Books could only be produced in sufficient numbers but with the invention of the printing press, the books are now available to all individual who wants to buy it.

• Reading was only restricted to the elites or rich people and common people gained knowledge orally. They heard the texts, ballads and folk tales orally. But with the access to books, reading public came into being.
