Metal carbonate + Acid Salt + Carbon dioxide + Water Example-Hydrochloric acid gives carbon dioxide gas, sodium chloride along with water when reacts with sodium carbonate.

Na2CO3 + 2HCl 2NaCl + CO2 + H2O
