In both the case the coin will drop in the same amount of time because even though the elevator is moving with uniform velocity from man’s perspective inside the elevator, everything is at rest and only force is the gravitational force. Thus, the velocity will not add a pseudo force and the time taken to reach the ground will be the same. Thus, option A is correct.
