Q. 19

# A particle starting from rest undergoes a rectilinear motion with acceleration a. The variation of ‘a’ with time t is shown below. The maximum velocity attained by the particle during its motion is. (a = 10 ms–2 and t = 12s)

Particle starts from rest

So, Initial Velocity = u = 0 ms–1

And it is given that Acceleration = a = ms–2 and time taken = t = 12 s

So, using equations of motion:

v = 120 ms–1

So, velocity attained is 120 ms–1
