Answer :
Given the force displacement linear relation is F = a+bx Now the body moves in +ve X direction from x=0 to x=d So, at x=0 we have F=a, which we get from the linear relation and also at x=d we have = a+bd
Now by taking the average of forces at both the positions we get Avg force = (F+)/2
