The compound ‘P’ is Ethanol.
When it is heated with concentrated sulphuric acid, it gets dehydrated and forms Ethene. So, the compound ‘Q’ is Ethene.
When Hydrogen is added to Ethane, in presence of Ni catalyst, it forms an unsaturated hydrocarbon i.e. Ethane. So, the compound ‘R’ is Ethane.
On combustion reaction of ethane, the products formed are:
CH3 – CH3 + 7/2 O2 2 CO2 + 3H2O + heat + light
