# A bus increases its speed from 36 km/h to 72 km/h in 10 seconds. Its acceleration is :A. 5 m/s2B. 2 m/s2C. 3.6 m/s2D. 1 m/s2

Given:
The initial velocity u =36 km/h=10 m/s
the Final velocity v =72 Km/h = 20 m/s
The time period t = 10 s

using first equation of motion
v – u = at
where
v is the final velocity
u is the initial velocity
a is the acceleration
t is the time period

putting the value  of v,u,t in the equation, we get

20 -10 =a ×10

a = 1 m/s2
