A boatman pushes the river bank with a bamboo pole to take his boat into the river. Explain with reference to Newton's Third Law of Motion.
According to Newton’s third law of motion every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
When a boat man pushes the river bank with a bamboo pole the river bank, in turn, its impact reaches water which pushes the boat in the opposite direction giving him the initial velocity to continue the motion in the river.
