Wsolvent = 96g, wsolute= 4g, Msolute= 342 g mol-1


Using the formula, ∆Tf = kf x m

Kf = 16.39 K


For 5% solution (w/w) of sucrose means 5g of sucrose in 95g water


Wsolvent = 95g, wsolute= 5g, Msolute= 180 g mol-1


Using the formula, ∆Tf = kf x m


∆Tf = K


= 0.48 K


Tf = Tf0 - ∆Tf = (273.15 – 0.48) K = 272.67 K
